'The King Of Beers' Bud Light Is Dethroned By Competitor As Boycott Sees Sales Plummet For Months - It's 'Quicker Than We Had Anticipated'

After multiple months of boycott against Bud Light for its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, the beer company has finally been dethroned as the top beer in America, according to recent sales data.

Takes its place is Modelo Especial which has topped $333 million in sales over the month of May which marks a 15 percent increase in the company's sales figures, according to Newsweek.

In comparison, Bud Light was only able to top out at $297 million in sales per week during the same period, a 22.8 percent decline in the company's figures.

Sales figures have shown that Bud Light suffered a 23.9 percent decrease in sales on a year-over-year basis. Making matters worse for the company, it has also seen a 27.8 percent drop in volume year-over-year for the week of May 27th.

In the previous week, according to BWC, the company lost 25.7 percent in sales and 29.5 percent in volume in a year-over-year analysis.

"We thought that would take a little longer," CEO Bill Newlands of the beer marketing company Constellation Brands told Newsweek about Modelo's rise. "We've been very fortunate that, that's gone a little quicker than we had anticipated. But what a great position to be in on the beer side."

While Bud Light has been topped in per week sales, they still own a larger part of the market compared to Modelo. As reported by Breitbart, Bud Light enjoys 9.1 percent of the total market share while Modelo only garners eight percent thus leaving a gap of a few hundred million dollars.

Retailers across America have seen the effects of the Bud Light boycott nearly every day with some retailers selling the beer for extremely low prices or even for free in some instances, as reported by Fox News.

The impact of the boycott isn't just affecting Bud Light either. The ad company behind the Dylan Mulvaney partnership, Captiv8, is also in a panic, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer

A source close to the company stated, “Internally, the company was in serious panic mode,” and that, “There was a lot of chatter.”

It is becoming increasingly clear that when conservatives band together, they can make real change. Companies like Bud Light, Target, and others have been shown that when you go against the values of the average American, it will come with consequences. Put more simply, if a company goes woke, it will go broke.
