'It's Kind Of Sick': Hero Behind 'Sound Of Freedom' Shreds Mainstream Media For Spreading Lies About The Film

On Monday, Tim Ballard, the man portrayed by Jim Caviezel in 'Sound of Freedom', responded to left-wing critics that have claimed that the film is related to QAnon.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the movie is about the real-life child sex trafficking ring that exists throughout Latin America and the United States. The movie itself is based on the true story of Tim Ballard, a former CIA agent, who becomes frustrated only capturing people who watched child pornography in the United States and not catching those responsible for making the evil product.

Thanks to Ballard's efforts, he was able to save 123 people, 55 of whom were children, during the mission that is featured in the film.

"These are real kids. I see them, I'm still friends with them. It is embarrassing and frankly grotesque for this guy, who knows nothing, to start throwing out terms like QAnon and connecting it to a real story," Ballard said in response to the film's critics.

“I can’t explain, and neither can they,” Ballard said. “Every show I’ve seen, they just like to throw the word out, ‘QAnon.’ They make zero connection to the actual story. It’s very difficult to make that connection when it’s actually based on a true story.”

“This is just some other agenda … who would want to get the backs or run interference for pedophiles and human traffickers? That’s the more important question in all this. Why would you want to lie to push an agenda whose goal is to have children be in captivity? It’s kind of sick,” he said.

The film has received pushback from various left-leaning outlets including The Rolling Stone which published a piece titled "‘Sound Of Freedom’ Is a Superhero Movie for Dads With Brainworms," The Guardian which published an article titled "Sound of Freedom: the QAnon-adjacent thriller seducing America," and The Washington Post which published a piece with the title "'Sound of Freedom' is a box office hit whose star embraces QAnon."

While critics have been attempting to malign the film's premise and attack the creators' motivations, the movie is seeing major success across America.

The studio behind the film, Angel Studios, issued a press release on Sunday that informed moviegoers that, thanks to their support, the movie is projected to garner $40.2 million after a successful opening week that saw $18.2 million in ticket sales following its release on July 4th.

“As with our July 4th numbers, today’s numbers exceed our expectations, and we’re going to continue this momentum," Head of Theatrical Distribution Brandon Purdie said about the film's success. "SOUND of FREEDOM has taken on a life of its own."

"We’re getting messages from all over the country telling us about packed theaters, sold-out theaters, and spontaneous standing ovations for the film in numerous locations," Purdie continued. "Seeing this film has become a must thanks to incredible word-of-mouth."

“We’re deeply grateful to AMC, Cinemark, Regal, and all our theater partners—and their hard-working theater staff members—for working with us to accommodate the surging demand for this film and having the courage to release SOUND OF FREEDOM during the busiest movie season of the year," the Angel Studios executive concluded.

The star of the film, Jim Caviezel, explained that he was blessed to take part in the film, telling Fox News Digital, "This is a good versus evil story. This is a battled hero story. I was very blessed that I go the opportunity, just as I was blessed to do 'The Passion of the Christ."

Thanks to the strong message portrayed in 'Sound of Freedom', the film was able to beat out Disney's 'Indiana Jones: Dial of Destiny' on Independence Day leading to Caviezel stating, "We are not Disney’s film. We are the people’s film. Can we love our children? Can we love God's children more than we fear evil? Americans are up to it. And they hear the sound of freedom, because God's children are no longer for sale."

It is becoming increasingly clear that Americans are yearning for entertainment based on morality. The products put out by the mainstream studios in Hollywood simply aren't cutting it and the success of 'Sound of Freedom' proves that.
