On Thursday, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) announced she would be filing articles of impeachment against Joe Biden.
“It is with the highest amount of solemnity that I announce my intention to introduce articles of impeachment today, on the head of this America-last executive branch, that has been working since Jan. 20, 2021, to systematically destroy this country, the president of the United States, Joseph Robinette Biden,” Greene said.
"Joe Biden has deliberately compromised our national security by refusing to enforce immigration laws and secure our border, allowed approximately 6 million illegals from over 170 countries to invade our country, deprived border patrol of the necessary resources and policies sufficient to protect our country, and his administration has willfully refused to maintain operational control as required by law," Greene added.
Greene continued, highlighting more of Biden's failures on the southern border. These include but are not limited to: his defunding of the border wall; catch-and-release policies; the fentanyl crisis; child labor violations for the children of illegal immigrants, and many more clear violations of law and common sense.
Greene concluded her remarks by saying, "His policies, directives, and statements surrounding the Southern border have violated our laws and destroyed our country. Biden has blatantly violated his constitutional duty, and he is a direct threat to our national security. Therefore, Joseph Robinette Biden is unfit to serve as President of the United States and must be impeached."
This is not the first time Greene has filed articles of impeachment against Joe Biden. Indeed, she filed articles of impeachment the day after Biden was sworn in. But this comes after Greene has filed several high-profile articles of impeachment in recent memory, including articles against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
"Not only has Secretary Mayorkas enabled child exploitation, sex and drug trafficking, and fentanyl overdoses, but he has also done everything in his power to put Americans last. His policies, directives, and statements have created a national security crisis and have endangered the lives of American citizens. As a result of intentionally failing to secure our homeland and putting the lives of every American in danger from his very first day in office, Alejandro Mayorkas is unfit to hold the office of Secretary of Homeland Security and must be impeached," Greene said in a press release.
All in all, Greene is taking steps to hold our government officials accountable for their evident failures. Time after time, she is putting America first.
