Trump Fires Back At ‘Low IQ’ Robert De Niro: He ‘Has A Terrible Case Of Trump Derangement Syndrome’

On Saturday, 45th President and presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump fired back at "low IQ" and "stupid sounding" actor Robert De Niro on his top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, after De Niro attacked Trump as a "total monster" during an appearance on 'Real Time With Bill Maher' on Friday. De Niro said of Trump, "He's such a mean, nasty, hateful person. I'd never play him as an actor, because I can't see any good in him. Nothing. Nothing at all. Nothing redeemable in him. I just don't want to feel the way I did. And many of us don't," he said, referring to Trump's surprise victory in 2016.

"It can't be. It cannot be. If he wins the election, you won't be on this show anymore. He'll come looking for me. [There will] be things that happen that none of us can imagine. That's what happens in that kind of a dictatorship, which is what he says [he wants]. Let's believe him. Take him at his word," De Niro added. "He is a dangerous person. [People] somehow think he's going to be the answer to their prayers, whatever those are, God knows. People decide whether they want to oppose him or they want to let him just tell them what to do and own the schoolyard or the basketball court or whatever it is. He's got to be stopped."

Trump fired back at De Niro's attacks, writing, "Robert DeNiro has a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Such a stupid sounding guy, a low IQ individual." Last year, De Niro's Trump derangement syndrome led him to say, "I've spent a lot of time studying bad men. I've examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty. Yet there's something different about Donald Trump. When I look at him, I don't see a bad man. Truly. I see an evil one." Trump fired back at the time, saying, "He has become a total loser, as the World watches, waits, and laughs!"

Maher asked De Niro, "Well, I think people feel there's a lack of common sense on the left and the right. Would you at least agree with that?" "I would agree with that," De Niro answered. "And that gives [Trump] a giant opening. The bottom line is… Biden's our guy. He represents what this country is supposed to be about."
