Donald Trump Praises 'Sound of Freedom'— Hosts Private Viewing At His Bedminster Golf Club

Wednesday at the Trump National Golf Club, Bedminster 45th President Donald J. Trump hosted a private viewing of 'Sound of Freedom' starring Jim Caviezel with members of the cast and production team as guests of honor.

Producer Eduardo Verástegui is well-known to Trump as a former member of his Advisory Commission on Hispanic Prosperity according to Trump's staff. Former Homeland Security Agent and founder of Operation Underground Railroad Tim Ballard, whose story the film is based upon also serve as part of Trump's Public-Private Partnership Advisory Council to End Human Trafficking.

Paul Ingrassia of the New York Young Republicans tweeted footage of Trump's arrival and a hearty handshake with Verástegui.

Editor of Human Events Jack Posobiec shared a video from the event of Trump introducing the film and its creators and sharing in an opening prayer.

Trump introduced star Jim Caviezel and called him "The biggest movie star," before joking  "Who the hell ever heard of Jim Caveizel? Biggest star in the world right now," noting "He starred in Passion, he played a tough, this was a tough role: Jesus Christ."

Turning to Verástegui he suggested that the producer could eventually become President of Mexico. He then introduced Arizona's GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake before asking for a prayer to open the show.

Lake tweeting from the event with photos of her with Verástegui and Caviezel wrote, "It was great to talk with@EVerastegui
and @JimmyCaviezel at Bedminster before the screening of Sound of Freedom! Eduardo & Jim, thank you for helping to make this powerful and important film. We must bring an end to the horrific sex trafficking trade. Everyone needs to see this movie!"

After the prayer, Trump welcomed former White House Advisor Steve Bannon to the stage. Bannon joked,

“This movie unites a lot of people. It united Bannon, Kelly Anne, Jared and Ivanka tonight!”

Bannon emphasized the need for Trump's reelection with the President responding, “This is a great guy, he’s a great guy.”

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, 'Sound of Freedom' is poised to exceed $100 million in ticket sales by the end of the week, clearly winning the market as Hollywood reels from coinciding writers' and actors' strikes.

And as alluded to by the 45th President in his remarks, nationwide GOP primary polling on average from RealClearPolitics shows him holding a 32.8 point advantage over the rest of the field, with runner-up Florida's Governor Ron DeSantis polling at 20.9% to his commanding 53%.

Head-to-head polling on the RCP average shows Trump in a statistical tie with Biden, while Harvard Harris and Rasmussen polls show him leading by six points.
