Trump On Historic SCOTUS Ruling: It 'Should End All Of Crooked Joe's Witch Hunts Against Me'

On Monday, 45th President Donald Trump reacted to the Supreme Court ruling that he has some immunity from prosecution in his federal election case in a legendary and historic 6-3 decision. The ruling is a massive blow to special counsel Jack Smith's prosecution, causing a further delay in Smith's case against Trump. "Under our system of separated powers, the President may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for his official acts. That immunity applies equally to all occupants of the Oval Office," Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in a majority decision.

In a post on his top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote, "Today’s Historic Decision by the Supreme Court should end all of Crooked Joe Biden’s Witch Hunts against me, including the New York Hoaxes - The Manhattan SCAM cooked up by Soros backed D.A., Alvin Bragg, Racist New York Attorney General Tish James’ shameless ATTACK on the amazing business that I have built, and the FAKE Bergdorf’s 'case.' PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!" In an earlier post, Trump wrote, "BIG WIN FOR OUR CONSTITUTION AND DEMOCRACY. PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!" "Solid SCOTUS ruling today. I'm sure the corrupt prosecutors and DC judge will work overtime to continue their lawfare. It's all they have left," Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., wrote on Truth Social.

The Biden-Harris Campaign released a statement on the ruling on X, writing, "Today's ruling doesn't change the facts, so let's be very clear about what happened on January 6: Donald Trump snapped after he lost the 2020 election and encouraged a mob to overthrow the results of a free and fair election. Trump is already running for president as a convicted felon for the very same reason he sat idly by while the mob violently attacked the Capitol: he thinks he's above the law and is willing to do anything to gain and hold onto power for himself."

"Since January 6, Trump has only grown more unhinged. He's promising to be a dictator 'on day one,' calling for our Constitution to be 'terminated' so he can regain power, and promising a 'bloodbath' if he loses. The American people already rejected Donald Trump's self-obsessed quest for power once - Joe Biden will make sure they reject it for good in November," the Biden campaign added.
