Trump Urges GOP To Stop Infighting, Focus On Democrats 'Destroying Our Country'

On Tuesday, leading 2024 presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump questioned why Republicans are "always" infighting, instead of focusing on fighting Democrats who are "destroying" America.

This came before House lawmakers are set to vote on a motion from Rep. Matt Gaetz to advance a vote to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. In a blow to Kevin McCarthy, the House failed to stop the effort by Rep. Gaetz to oust him as speaker with 208 to 218. In addition to all Democrats voting against the speaker, 11 Republicans voted against the motion to table.

The vote set the stage to remove and replace McCarthy as House speaker.

In a post on his top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote, "Why is it that Republicans are always fighting among themselves, why aren’t they fighting the Radical Left Democrats who are destroying our Country?"

Gaetz has said he's spoken to President Trump about the matter, but would not divulge any information about the conversation.

"I don’t agree that a motion to vacate will effectively create the changes needed to solve the intentional systemic failure that create the annual never ending CR’s and Christmas omnibus mega spending packages," Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote in a tweet.

In January, Trump publicly urged Republicans to support McCarthy for speaker and succeeded in his efforts.

I am not sure even Trump could cure the Republicans of their RINOism.
