Trump's Promotion Of 'Sound Of Freedom' Skyrockets Its Box Office To $125 Million

The anti-child trafficking film 'Sound of Freedom' has reached a stunning $125 million at the box office in its third week after leading 2024 presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump screened and promoted the film.

On July 18, Trump hosted a screening of the movie at his Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey alongside main actor Jim Caviezel, Mexican filmmaker Eduardo Verástegui, and Tim Ballard, the man the movie was based on.

Caviezel thanked Trump for his help, writing in a tweet on Friday, "Mr. President, Sound of Freedom jumped in Box Office Numbers after we visited you at Bedminster the other night… We are gonna have an incredible weekend because of you Sir!"

"Moses told me it’s ok to un-retire his jersey… says you can wear it for the rest of your life," he added.

Angel Studios reported that its third weekend total was even larger than its $20 million opening weekend total.

The film is being shown in 3,285 theaters and has a total cumulative box office projection through Sunday of $124,748,584.

"'Sound of Freedom' is continuing its unbelievable ride. Word continues to spread, and crowds are continuing to show up, which is how this film ended up doing more business in its third weekend than its first," Angel Studios' Brandon Purdie said in a statement.

"We want every American to see this landmark film," he added.

On Friday, Trump vowed to end child and human trafficking using Title 42 and make all traffickers face the death penalty.

In a video titled, "Agenda47: President Trump Calls for Death Penalty for Human Traffickers," Trump said, "I was thrilled to host a screening at Bedminster of the important new film, Sound of Freedom about the power of faith in overcoming evil and in particular, the evil of child trafficking. Big problem. We had it down to the lowest number in many years, just four years ago, and now it's gone through the roof."

In total, Trump authorized nearly $600 million to fight child and human trafficking.

Trump's presidency resulted in a 14 percent increase in human and child trafficking convictions in 2017.

Trump's Director of National Intelligence declared human trafficking a top priority for American intelligence agencies, which Biden has since rescinded.

As president, Trump signed nine pieces of legislation to fight child and human trafficking not only in the United States but worldwide.

Trump did more than any other president to fight child trafficking.
