UN Meltdown: African Nation Shows ‘What Is A Woman?’ At UN Commission on Women

An African nation’s delegation to the United Nations, in open defiance of the Commission on the Status of Women, exhibited ‘What Is A Woman?’ The groundbreaking Daily Wire documentary by Matt Walsh was shown during a women’s conference Friday despite the host group vocally denying them permission to do so.

letter turning down the proposal to show the film read, “Unfortunately, your request to host an event has been denied as your event does not align with NGO CSW/NY’s values and/or mandate.”

According to The Daily Wire, the Nigerian diplomatic mission to the United Nations presented the documentary for dignitaries in attendance at the conference including delegations from other African nations Uganda, Malawi, and Cameroon as well as the South American nation of Suriname.

Ugandan State Minister for Gender, Labor, and Social Development Peace Regis Mutuuzo told the outlet,

“The movie was very informative. The people whose gender has been arranged can never lead a happy life no matter how much they pretend because gender is biological and not ideological.”

Reportedly, the screening was collaboratively conducted by the Center for Family and Human Rights and Family Watch International, non-profits both mischaracterized by the disgraced Southern Poverty Law Center as “hate groups.”

Austin Ruse, president of the Center for Family and Human Rights told Daily Wire, “How ironic is it that a conference on women does not want to consider the question, ‘what is a woman?’ It is also unfortunate that this UN conference is not interested in diverse voices.”

He added, “In past years, many pro-life and family organizations, including C-Fam, have hosted events, but are now unwelcomed with the new guidelines.”

Daily Wire host Matt Walsh tweeted following the exhibition,

“‘What Is A Woman’ is a global movement. Nigeria at the UN is hosting a screening of the film for African delegates. It’s clear that African nations don’t want gender ideology imposed on them.”

He added, “It has already found a large following in South America, Europe, and the Middle East. Now African delegates at the UN are attending a screening. The film is not only changing this country but reaching across the world. Incredibly proud to have been a part of this project.”

As noted by Daily Wire in a tweet, the Commission on the Status of Women, in refusing the exhibition citing pro-transgender and “anti-racist” policies, ironically forced “the black female delegates from African nations to gather at a side-event to view @MattWalshBlog‘s documentary.”

The commission’s guidelines are so bent “not to replicate white patriarchal structures including subjugating voices of Black women and women of color,” that this is precisely what it accomplished.

“I wish this would be shown from the floor of the General Assembly,” Funke Oladipo, deputy director for women and gender at the Nigerian Ministry of Women’s Affairs told the outlet.
