He's A 'Brilliant Guy': Warren Buffet Praises Elon Musk As Tesla Continues To Innovate And Its Stock Rises

On Monday, billionaire and owner of Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffet called Tesla CEO Elon Musk a “brilliant guy” as the stock for the electric car company continues to rebound.

During the annual shareholders meeting hosted on Saturday for Berkshire Hathaway, Buffet and his business partner Charlie Munger threw their praises onto the Tesla CEO, as the company sees growing success, per Investors Business Daily

Buffett levied praise onto Musk, saying he was a “brilliant, brilliant guy,” who has a way of dreaming about the future. Munger added to the heaps of praise, stating Musk was incredible because he “likes taking on the impossible job and doing it.” Munger compared Musk to himself and Warren, stating “We’re different. Warren and I are looking for the easy job.”

Tesla recently broke ground on a massive $375 million lithium plant in Texas, where he and Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) appeared Monday at the factory's ground to celebrate its future success, per CNBC

At the ceremony, Musk assured the plant would not produce any toxic materials or harmful pollution from its factories. Elon Musk stated, “There’s no toxic emissions or anything – you could live right in the middle of the refinery and not suffer any ill effects.” Musk is hoping for construction on the plant to end sometime next year, and then to have production begin just another year after that. At the ceremony, Musk informed the crowd that the refinement factory is expected to produce enough vehicles for roughly one million customers, per Investing.com

The billionaire first wanted to get into the lithium processing business as he shared that the prices of lithium had “gone to insane levels.” China is currently the largest lithium producer in the world, making over half of the world's supply of refined lithium, so US refinement plants represent a major change in control for the electric vehicle company.

At the event, Abbott praised Musk for his efforts in Texas as well as calling him the greatest entrepreneur on Earth: “Texas wants to be able to be self-reliant, not depending upon any foreign hostile nation for what we need.”

Elon Musk is undoubtedly making major moves to create a company that doesn’t need to depend upon corrupt nations like Russia or China to conduct its business. It’s no wonder men like Warren Buffet sing his praises to the richest man alive as he works to continue to innovate and improve his companies even further.
