WATCH: Anti-Trump Former Congressman Adam Kinzinger Throws His Support Behind Joe Biden - 'Now Is The Time To Unite'

On Wednesday, former GOP Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) threw his support behind Joe Biden's 2024 re-election campaign in a viral video posted to X. This comes after millions of patriots have rallied around Trump's 'MAGA' agenda as the solution to America's most pressing problems, problems the Biden White House has yet to address ably. As such, Kinzinger's support for President Biden tells these patriots all they need to know about the value (or lack thereof) of his supposed 'conservative' convictions and his analysis of the present crisis this nation is facing. 

"As a proud conservative, I've always put America's democracy and our Constitution above all else. And today, as a proud conservative, I am endorsing [Joe Biden] for re-election," Kinzinger posted to X. Kinzinger has been a prominent opponent of Donald Trump since 2021, going so far as to serve on the sham January 6 Committee. As such, Kinzinger's endorsement of Joe Biden is no surprise. Too many Republicans value the status quo over the competent set of policy suggestions offered by Donald J. Trump and his MAGA patriots. 

Kinzinger elaborated on his reasons in a video attached to the post, saying, "I'm Adam Kinzinger, and I am a proud conservative. I always have been. As a proud conservative, I have always put democracy and our Constitution above all else. And it is because of my unwavering support for democracy that today, as a proud conservative, I am endorsing Joe Biden for re-election."

Kinzinger continued his remarks, saying, "While I certainly don't agree with President Biden on everything, and I never thought I'd be endorsing a Democrat for president, I know that he will always protect the very thing that makes America the best country in the world: our democracy." This is, of course, the farthest thing from the truth -- the Democrats are only interested in democracy when it suits them. A functioning democracy relies on competent procedures, for instance, and the Democrats are against common-sense measures like voter ID -- and this reveals where their priorities truly lie. 

Kinzinger spent the remainder of the video attacking Donald Trump's record, saying the 45th president wants to 'terminate' the Constitution. But it is the Democrats who are hell-bent on destroying the Constitution, turning it into a waxen nose for whatever the spirit of the age dictates, a spirit that is increasingly infected with woke and progressive values. As such, Kinzinger concluded his video, saying, "So to every American of every political party and those of none, I say now is not the time to watch quietly as Donald Trump threatens the future of America. Now is the time to unite behind Joe Biden and show Donald Trump off the stage once and for all." We, the people, may very well say otherwise in November.
