WATCH: Congressman Jim Jordan SLAMS Merrick Garland, Reveals That Impeachment Is On The Table

On Sunday, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), chair of the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News's Maria Bartiromo that the impeachment of Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland is still very much on the table.

"This is the question for the full conference. But ... the speaker has been very clear; Speaker McCarthy has said if we have to go to an impeachment inquiry, we will, in fact, do that. It sure looks like now, based on the evidence that keeps piling up... it sure looks like we're moving in that direction at a pretty quick pace," Jordan said during an appearance on Fox News's 'Sunday Morning Futures.'

"But ultimately, Maria, that's a question for the full conference; [the] Republican Conference in the House of Representatives. We will do what the Constitution requires if that is where we need to go. But we have to figure that all out," Jordan added. "One thing I do know, is that if you head down this road, that it completely consumes Congress. As you know, I was on the other side of this, when the Democrats did their ridiculous impeachment of President Trump four years ago. And the amount of time and focus it just demands from the Congress is huge."

"But if that's where we need to go because that's what the facts say, and that's what our constitutional duty is, then we will, of course, move in that direction," Jordan added.

For context, after speaking about the revelations of IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley concerning the investigation into Hunter Biden (which was overseen by U.S. Attorney David Weiss), House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) tweeted, "We need to get to the facts, and that includes reconciling these clear disparities. U.S. Attorney David Weiss must provide answers to the House Judiciary Committee. If the whistleblowers' allegations are true, this will be a significant part of a larger impeachment inquiry into Merrick Garland's weaponization of DOJ."

If these allegations are true, we, the people, need and demand answers. While impeachment is never the first option, nothing is off the table if evident corruption is found -- and if House Republicans believe they have found corruption, they are obligated to act for the sake of the American people.
