WATCH: Donald Trump Says There Is A 'Good Chance' He Names His Running Mate At The Convention

In an exclusive interview with Scripps News on Thursday, presumptive Republican nominee Donald J. Trump told the outlet that he would likely choose his 2024 presidential running mate at the GOP National Convention in July, which will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

"That is probably a pretty good chance, I would say. I don't say anything's 100 percent, but you are getting pretty close. I'll be doing it in Milwaukee, we'll be, we're gonna have a great time. It is a beautiful arena, it is a beautiful space, and we are spending a lot of money. And we are bringing it to the state, and I hope the people, when they vote, remember that," Donald Trump told the outlet. The importance of the convention cannot be understated - Trump must pick a running mate who is sure to put America First, effectively contrasting to Biden's America Last Vice President Kamala Harris - who has overseen the border crisis and a whole host of other disasters.

The buzz around Donald Trump's potential running mate has only grown recently, with the president discussing his potential picks with surrogates and event attendees at Mar-a-Lago. When asked about why the GOP National Convention would be held in Miluwake, Donald Trump argues that Wisconsin's status as a battleground state was absolutely essential to the final decision. "It really is an important state for us. Wisconsin has to be won by us. If we win Wisconsin, I think we win the whole thing," Trump said, as previously reported by Newsmax. Trump is currently leading Joe Biden by 0.6 percentage points in the hypothetical one-on-one matchup, according to Real Clear Politics, so securing Wisconsin is an essential ingredient to a dominant 2024 victory.

Fortunately for patriotic Americans, Donald J. Trump has an excellent opportunity to win the presidency in 2024, and an effective vice president is just another way that Trump can help impress voters nationwide. The Real Clear Politics polling average has him besting Joe Biden in nationwide polling in recent months, despite the fact that Republican presidential candidates can generally afford to underperform in the popular vote while still winning the election - as they did in 2000 and 2016. As such, it stands to reason that the radical, far-left Democrats would use any means necessary to gain a much-needed political advantage - including indicting their most likely political opponent. But if Republicans sell their agenda and effectively criticize the Biden administration's America Last foreign policies, the sky is the limit for Republicans in 2024 -- and our nation may very well depend on it.
