WATCH: Eric Trump Argues Joe Biden Taking Over A Week To Prepare For The Debate Is 'Not A Big Showing Of Confidence'

During a Sunday appearance on Fox News's Sunday Morning Futures, Eric Trump, son of presumptive Republican nominee Donald J. Trump, told host Maria Bartiromo that Joe Biden taking over a week to prepare for the forthcoming presidential debate on CNN this Thursday is "not a big showing of confidence," as the Biden Campaign continues to struggle, with millions of Americans rallying around his opponent's agenda.

Eric Trump began his remarks by focusing on his father's debate strategy, saying, "Well, obviously, he takes it very seriously, but he is doing what he does. He's going all over the place campaigning. He was in inner-city Philadelphia yesterday, which was an amazing thing, right? Something that Republicans just don't normally have the backbone to do. And you saw him do that in the Bronx, and you saw him do that in Queens. And you saw that. He is doing that all over the country."

Eric Trump then turned his focus to CNN, arguing that the channel's obvious bias -- particularly the bias of CNN host Jake Tapper -- would be on full display when they host the debate on Thursday. " This is still CNN, right? This is Jake Tapper. Jake Tapper has compared my father to Hitler before, right?  I mean, Jake Tapper is the guy who will yell at his control room and say, turn this man off. I don't want to hear what he has to say when my father is giving press conferences... So understand that he is not just going to be debating Joe Biden. He is going to be debating CNN," Eric Trump added.

Tapper has, indeed, compared Trump to Hitler at various points. The CNN host even argued that some of Trump's comments surrounding immigration were akin to "the dehumanizing rhetoric of Adolf Hitler," as previously reported by the DC Enquirer. These remarks are truly disqualifying and tell us everything we need to know about the standard of journalistic integrity present at CNN -- or, better put, the lack of standards.

With this clear bias in mind, one would expect a struggling president to rest easy, knowing the channel hosting the debate is firmly on his side. But this is not the case, with the president preparing for the debate over a week in advance at his Camp David retreat. As such, Eric Trump criticized this strategy, saying, "It is pretty telling of a president who has to go to Camp David in the middle of the woods and lock himself effectively in a bunker for an eight-day period of time because his policies are so bad that he has to figure out some way to polish them up and try and sugarcoat them and try and frame them with all of his top advisers."

Eric Trump concluded his remarks, adding, "And I can tell you, my father is not doing that. My father's on the right side of these issues. Ten days or eight days in the woods in Camp David to try and explain yourself to the American people; I'm not exactly sure if that's if that's a big showing of confidence."
