WATCH: ESPN Personality Calls For Democrats To Nominate Someone Other Than Joe Biden

On Friday, ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith revealed his true thoughts on Joe Biden -- arguing his age disqualifies him from effectively serving as president in the year 2024.

Stephen A. Smith took to Twitter, saying of Biden, "I’ll say it…and I know this will make some people mad…but I just think someone 80+ years old is too old to be President. There has to be better options"

Smith attached a clip from the Friday airing of his ESPN program 'The Stephen A. Smith Show' to the tweet, in which he said, "without trying to engage in any kind of ageism at all, because I don’t believe in it. There does come a point in time where there are certain jobs you don’t need. It’s not that you don’t need to be working, it’s not that you don’t need to be living your life, it’s not that you don’t need to be living a very vibrant lifestyle or anything like that."
"But there are responsibilities that are far, far, far more extensive than a typical 9 to 5 that somebody in their 80s may not need to be doing," Smith continued. "I think the presidency is one of them. I do!"

As Fox News Digital previously reported, Smith said he voted for Joe Biden in 2020 but had his reservations in light of where the country is at the moment. Stephen A. Smith added, "But here’s one of my biggest reasons – and again, forget Biden for a second because this is no disrespect to him. What does it say about our country where we’re looking at an 80-year-old, who will be 82 if he wins the presidency again in 2024? What does it say about our country if that’s what we’re depending on?"

Smith has weighed in on politics a great deal lately. Commenting on his relationship with Trump, he defended the 45th President, saying he was no racist -- although he said he would still not vote for the leading Republican presidential contender in the 2024 presidential election.

"I knew Trump before he ran for the presidency. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to him. He was a huge sports fan. He used to throw a lot of events at … you know, at his casinos and stuff like that, and I genuinely liked them,” Smith said, as The Hill previously reported.
