During a Wednesday appearance on CNN's 'The Source,' Ohio Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) staunchly defended Donald J. Trump, asserting that he endangered no one on January 6. Vance emphasized that the presumptive Republican nominee had urged peaceful protests, a testament to the respect for the rule of law that Republicans uphold in our nation.
"Do we want four more years of Joe Biden, or do we want four more years of the peace and prosperity of Donald Trump? That, to me, is an easy question," Vance began. After host Kaitlyn Collins insinuated that Donald Trump endangered former Vice President Mike Pence, the Ohio senator replied, "I'm extremely skeptical that Mike Pence's life was ever in danger. I think politics and politics people like to really exaggerate things from time to time." Vance appears to be a likely vice president contender for Trump's 2024 ticket, so the question was asked in light of that possible reality.
Vance continued his remarks, as previously reported by Breitbart News, adding, "A lot of folks in the Democratic Party, Kaitlan, act as if January 6 was the scariest moment of their lives. I think, look, January 6 was a bad day. It was a riot, but the idea that Donald Trump endangered anyone's lives when he told them to protest peacefully. It is just absurd." These are powerful remarks from a senator taking a stand for America and her people. We demand a leader we can trust, and that leader is not Joseph R. Biden.
As such, the Ohio senator argued that the Biden administration was the real threat to America. After all, their lawfare strategy against the 45th president is a real and present danger to our Democratic Republic. We, the people, demand transparency, and that appears to be near-last on the list of priorities relevant to Joe Biden and the radical Democrats. "I think the biggest threat to American democracy, Kaitlin, is that the Biden administration is trying to prevent Donald Trump from campaigning and taking his case to the American people even as hide their own candidate," Vance added.
Encouragingly, the American people are increasingly seeing through the facade, contributing significantly to Trump's impressive polling lead over Joe Biden in recent months. If Republicans seize this momentum and mount powerful arguments for Trump, as Vance has done, the future holds limitless potential for MAGA Republicans in 2024.
