After host Sean Hannity hinted at many of FBI Director Christopher Wray's nonanswers during hearings on Wednesday, Jim Jordan replied, "That is why we have to use the power of the purse and the appropriation process to limit how American tax dollars are spent. That is why we can't reauthorize FISA [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] in its current form. And that is why we should think about moving the headquarters to Huntington, Alabama."
This is not the first time Jim Jordan has discussed defunding the FBI. Earlier this week, CNN reported that Jordan wrote a letter advocating for the partial defunding of both the Justice Department and the FBI.
"In a letter to House Appropriations Chairwoman Kay Granger, Jordan, who has used his powerful position as committee chairman to criticize the DOJ for its investigations into former President Donald Trump, is calling on Congress to stop funding what he describes as “politically sensitive” investigations until the DOJ 'establishes a policy requiring non-partisan career staff to oversee such investigations," CNN previously reported.
"Beyond political investigations, Jordan laid out a series of dramatic budget cuts and policy changes to federal law enforcement agencies that he wants to see incorporated into this year’s spending bills, making the divisive issue over whether to defund or restrict the Department of Justice and FBI a central question House Republicans will have to answer as they try to fund the government by September 30," CNN added. "Regarding the FBI specifically, Jordan wrote, 'We recommend that the appropriations bills eliminate any funding for the FBI that is not absolutely essential for the agency to execute its mission.'"
Similarly, in April, Jordan suggested that defunding these agencies was a viable and lively option during an interview with Fox Business's Maria Bartiromo.
“We control the power of the purse, and that’s, we’re gonna have to look at the appropriations process and limit funds going to some of these agencies, particularly the ones who are engaging in the most egregious behavior," Jordan said, in reference to the FBI's treatment of 45th President and leading Republican presidential contender Donald J. Trump.
Jim Jordan is fighting for the American people and their tax dollars. Americans are not interested in having their tax dollars go to agencies that increasingly detest half of America. While there are no doubt many good men and women on the ground in these agencies, we the people must address the rot in these large bureaucracies before it is too late.

I agree, I think they need to do a massive prunning, here and the D.OJ . and while they are at it defund the I.R.S. so they fet rid of the armed and excessive agents they hired, like 83,000 of them.
