“It’s like forced compliance. You’re forced to comply with this. And it’s f***ing up women’s sports in a huge way. Some organizations are pushing back against that; and some people are pushing back against the organizations that are pushing back against it, which to me is insane. Like if you care at all about biological women, you should be against that,” Rogan said on a recent episode of the 'Joe Rogan Experience' podcast.
To this, rapper-turned-actor Ice Cube, Rogan's guest, replied, "What if Lebron said he wanted to play in the WNBA?"
“They wouldn’t be able to stop it if he just decided to say publicly, ‘I identify as a woman. What are they gonna do? They can’t do anything, and then that would be the end," Rogan replied.
He is precisely correct. This is why the trans movement lacks grounding in reality. Even the possibility of Lebron James making that choice reduces the fundamental basis of the trans movement into absurdity. And that's why the trans movement has so far failed to win over the hearts and minds of the American people.
Recent polling shows 70 percent of Americans oppose trans athletes competing in women's sports. Another survey finds Americans believe, by and large, that gender is determined at birth. That same Pew Research survey finds most Americans are in favor of protecting transgender people from discrimination -- so no one can accuse these Americans of 'transphobia.' Simply put, the American people have a sense something is up with radical gender ideology.
The pair also discussed a hypothetical scenario in which Mike Tyson chose to identify as a woman. According to Rogan, some have said that female athletes would be obliged to fight Tyson.
Rogan is referencing an interaction that Congressman Ralph Norman (R-CA) had with Congressman Mark Takano (D-CA), during which Takon admitted that if Mike Tyson chose to identify as a woman, he should be allowed to fight female fighters.
"Should Mike Tyson, if he identifies as a female, should he be allowed to box," Norman asked Takano. To this, Takano failed to provide a clear yes or no answer. He said these issues were typically taken on a case-by-case basis.
However, earlier in the discussion, Takano said the short answer was, "yes" that if one identifies as a female, they should be allowed to compete, before clarifying his answer to say there was no one-size-fits-all policy here.
