During a recent episode of the 'Joe Rogan Experience' podcast, host Joe Rogan lamented the fall of California and the state's embrace of radical leftist ideology. Although historically a man of the left in many important respects, Joe Rogan has not shied away from criticizing the Democratic Party in recent years, as their destructive agenda becomes all the more clear -- whether it be on economic or social issues.
"I used to be part of the blue bubble. I was 100 percent a left-leaning person who lived in Los Angeles," Rogan said. "I never voted Republican my whole life. I was very left-leaning -- especially with like any social issues. When it comes to financial things, I am a little bit more conservative. But at the end of the day, way more left than I am right." Rogan is following a growing number of high-profile celebrities who have expressed discomfort with leftist ideology, and we, the people of America, are here for it.
Rogan then turned the subject to California, saying, "But California went nuts, man. It has gone like full communist. It is out of its f*cking mind. And their approach to law enforcement is so insane. It is so insane, the no-cash bail, the letting people out for committing violent crimes, the f*cking not stopping people for stealing up to whatever money it is... San Francisco is non-existent. Most of San Francisco is emptied out of big chain stores and big department stores."
After guest Bobby Lee told Rogan that California's leftward turn similarly pestered him, Rogan continued, adding, "They ruined the city. You can bring it back -- the structure is still there. But you would have to have some hardcore Rudy Guiliani motherf*cker to come in and knock heads. But nobody wants that. Nobody wants that. They are peace, love, and granola, and f*cking wear a mask."
Bobby Lee then told Rogan he was now "in the middle" - a sentiment Rogan concurred with. Rogan argued leftists are "in a cult," saying their radical agenda and its corresponding groupthink could not be defined in any other way. After all, the left's mode of argumentation is not reasonable but fanatical -- having a sort of superstitious quality to it.
Contrary to the left's self-identity, the Republican Party is the party of reason and rationality -- having a basis in eternal truths all can and ought to accept. As more and more Americans wake up to the irrationality of leftist ideology, we can only hope these individuals will support candidates in November who push forward a truly reasonable ideology, one that respects the nation as a foundational institution and the family as its ultimate basis. Rogan is on the right path, and we hope his discourse will influence more listeners to leave the radical left behind.
