Following a campaign event in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris was asked by an MSNBC reporter what she would have done differently than President Biden across the last three and a half years of his presidency. The question comes after Harris has repeatedly failed to explain how she would have made a different decision than Joe Biden as she attempts to convince the American people that her presidency would not be a continuation of Biden's tenure.
"President Biden said this week that every president has to cut their own path. What is one policy that you would've done differently over these last three and a half years than President Biden?" the MSNBC reporter asked. "To be very candid with you, even including Mike Pence, vice presidents are not critical of their presidents. I think that really, actually in terms of the tradition of it and also just going forward, it does not make for a productive and important relationship." Harris went on to mention her medicare and housing policies.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, during an appearance on ABC's "The View" earlier this month, Vice President Harris said it wouldn't change a single aspect of Biden's policy agenda. "If anything, would you have done something differently than President Biden over the past four years," co-host Sunny Hostin asked. "There is not a thing that comes to mind," Harris responded. "I've been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact." During an appearance on Steven Colbert's show, Harris said that she's "not Joe Biden" and "not Donald Trump."
When she was pressed on the topic by Fox News host Bret Baier earlier this week, Harris explained that her administration would not be a continuation of President Biden's presidency. "Like every new president that comes into office, I will bring my life experiences, my professional experiences, and fresh and new ideas. I represent a new generation of leadership. I, for example, am someone who has not spent the majority of my career in Washington, D.C. I invite ideas, whether from Republicans who are supporting me, the business sector, or others who can contribute to the decision I make."
Vice President Harris hasn't come up with a solid answer to how her administration would be considerably different from her predecessor's. While she did explain to Baier that she would listen to Republicans and the business sector, she failed to outline any policy differences or make any commitments that would actually be substantially different from President Biden's. Her response to the MSBNC reporter on Friday further proves that four years of Kamala Harris would just be another four years of Bidenomics and the current administration's failed policies.
