WATCH: Kamala Harris Throws Biden Under The Trump Train - 'There Was A Slow Start'

On Thursday night, Vice President Kamala Harris was interviewed by CNN's Anderson Cooper after the historic CNN debate between 45th President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. Cooper questioned Harris on Biden's hoarse, raspy performance that has skyrocketed Democrat concerns about his fitness for office. "Yes, there was a slow start, but it was a strong finish. People can debate on style points, but ultimately, this election and who is the president of the United States has to be about substance, and the contrast is clear," Harris admitted.

Anderson Cooper pressed, "The president's performance tonight clearly was disappointing for his supporters. CNN reports that Democratic lawmakers watching the debate were worried about the president's performance. One said it was a disaster. Another called it a trainwreck. Those are Democrats." "I mean, you debated against then Vice President Biden four years ago, and he was a very different person on the stage four years ago when you debated. I mean, that's certainly true. Is it not?" Cooper asked. Harris scoffed and dodged the question, saying, "Anderson, the point has to be performance in terms of what a president does."

A flash CNN poll following the historic debate showed President Trump crushing Biden with a massive landslide of 67 percent and a minor 33 percent for Biden. In a viral post on Trump's top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, Trump posted his final debate remarks with a caption reading, "WE'RE A FAILING NATION, BUT IT'S NOT GOING TO BE FAILING ANYMORE—WE'RE GOING TO MAKE IT GREAT AGAIN!!!"

Biden's debate performance was so poor that several MSNBC hosts on Thursday night said that Democrat insiders are "panicked" and are discussing replacing Joe Biden with another Democrat candidate. "I was on the phones for some of it after that became clear, and there is a conversation happening inside Biden's circle, and certainly a much more frank conversation happening inside the Democratic coalition, and I think there will be stories of a lot of concern about the performance tonight," MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace said.

"I, too, was on the phone throughout much of the debate with Obama world people, with Democrats, with people who are political operatives, with campaign operatives. My phone really never stopped buzzing throughout, and the universal reaction was somewhere approaching panic. The people who were texting with me were very concerned about President Biden seeming extremely feeble, seeming extremely weak, and I'll just reiterate what I said earlier. President Biden had one job tonight, one primary job, and yes, it was to litigate Donald Trump's criminality and all of those things, but he had to settle his own party. He needed to settle Democrats," MSNBC host Joy Reid said.
