WATCH: Ted Cruz Destroys Bragg's Case Against Trump In Fiery 'Hannity' Appearance - 'The Most Brazen Case Of Election Interference In American History'

During a Wednesday appearance on Fox News's 'Hannity,' Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed the New York hush-money case against presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, calling it "the most blatant case of election interference that we've ever seen in our country's history." This comes after Judge Juan Merchan, the judge presiding over the case, gave the jury a controversial set of instructions for their deliberations, claiming that they do not need to be unanimous on what crime Trump committed to hold the 45th president liable.

"President Trump's trial is not about the law or criminal justice. It's about politics for the Democrats. I can imagine Joe Biden's press conference from the White House where he gloats about convicting Donald Trump. This is the most brazen case of election interference in American history," Senator Cruz posted to X, to which he attached a clip of his 'Hannity' appearance.

During the interview, Senator Cruz told host Sean Hannity that "the exchange you were just having with [legal scholar] Jonathan Turley is exactly right. We now know with a virtual certainty that no conviction will be upheld on appeal. That the judge today committed, I think, a clear reversible error. These jury instructions were nonsense." Senator Cruz added, citing Merchan's egregious jury directives, directives that could affect the integrity of the eventual decision.

"Now, here's the bad news. The bad news is this has been a kangaroo court from the beginning. This is a wildly partisan prosecutor who hates Donald Trump, who came with a political objective of going after Donald Trump, and we now know from these jury instructions that this judge is every bit the partisan that the prosecutor is," Ted Cruz added, as previously reported by Breitbart News. Senator Cruz is exactly right -- the lawfare strategy against Donald Trump has to stop, and we, the people, must be able to trust our justice system to act without partiality and partisanship.

As such, Senator Cruz ended his remarks by adding, "This is all about the press conference, the national address that Joe Biden has scheduled to give from the White House where he gloats, we've now convicted Donald Trump. This is all about November. We are watching election interference. This is the most blatant case of election interference that we've ever seen in our country's history."

Fortunately for voters who respect the rule of law in America, Donald J. Trump remains a potent force to win the presidency in 2024. The Real Clear Politics polling average has him besting Joe Biden in nationwide polling in recent months, even though Republican presidential candidates can generally afford to underperform in the popular vote while still winning the election - as they did in 2000 and 2016. The potential for Republicans in 2024 is limitless if they effectively communicate their agenda and critique the Biden administration's 'America Last' policies. The future of our nation may very well depend on it. This means uniting around an agenda that resonates with Americans, one that champions life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all -- and that means Trump having his life and liberty to lead us into greatness.
