WATCH: Trump Posts Legendary Solar Eclipse 2024 Video: 'WE WILL SAVE AMERICA'

On Sunday afternoon, 45th President Donald Trump posted a one-minute and twenty-five-second solar eclipse video from X, formerly Twitter user @PapiTrumpo, to his top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, that began with the phrase, "The most important moment in human history is taking place in 2024." The video then showed crowds gathering to watch a solar eclipse with protective eyewear on. As a huge shadow was cast on Earth, Trump's head entered the frame, taking the place of the moon. The video concluded with the line, "We will save America. And make it great again. Trump 2024."

On Monday afternoon, an eclipse is poised to traverse Mexico, the United States, and Canada. During this phenomenon, as the moon moves between the sun and Earth, a brief period of near-total darkness will envelop the region for several minutes. This occurrence won't repeat in North America until 2044, with its last appearance happening seven years ago during the initial year of Trump's presidency. As president, Trump famously defied expert advice by directly gazing at the eclipse without protective eyewear. Accompanying him were his wife, then-First Lady Melania Trump, and their son Barron, both of whom wisely wore glasses for safe eclipse viewing.

Experts caution that viewing the eclipse with the naked eye can result in vision issues such as blurriness, floaters, blind spots, or diminished vision. In severe instances, prolonged exposure can lead to retinal burns and eventual blindness.
