On Christmas Eve, leading 2024 presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump released two Christmas video messages from his top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, praising Jesus Christ and wishing everyone a "happy, joyous, and wonderful Christmas season."
"Melania and I would like to wish everyone a happy, joyous, and wonderful Christmas season. In this holy time of year, Christians everywhere give thanks that over 2,000 years ago, God sent his only Son into the world to be the savior of all mankind. The birth of Jesus Christ is the true miracle we celebrate each Christmas," Trump said in the one minute and 18-second video.
"He is the ultimate source of our joy, our hope, and our sense of peace and goodwill as we gather with family and loved ones. It is such a great time of the year. This is why we can never stop saying that beautiful phrase - Merry Christmas. This holiday, we give thanks for the many blessings God has bestowed upon us. We pray for the safety of our men and women in uniform at home and abroad," Trump added.
"And we ask God to guide us, give us strength, and watch over us in this pivotal year ahead. With his help, by this time next year, we will be well on our way to making America safer, stronger, greater, and more prosperous than ever before," Trump explained. "Once again, Melania and I wish you a very Merry Christmas. God bless you all. May 2024 be the best year of our lives."
In the second Christmas video, Trump said, "As President of the United States, it's my tremendous honor to finally wish America and the world a very Merry Christmas. For Christians, this is a holy season. The celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."
"More than 2,000 years ago, the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary. He said, 'Do not be afraid. You have found favor with God.' The angel told her that she would give birth to a baby boy, Jesus, who would be called the Son of the Most High. Nine months later, Christ was born in the town of Bethlehem. The Son of God came into the world in a humble stable," Trump said. "Whatever our beliefs, we know that the birth of Jesus Christ and the story of this incredible life forever changed the course of human history. There's hardly an aspect of our lives today that this life has not touched: art, music, culture, law, and our respect for the sacred dignity of every person everywhere in the world."
