WATCH: Trump Urges Republicans To Be 'Strong And United' And To Learn How To Use Their Power

On Friday, leading 2024 presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump said the Republican Party needs to be "strong and united" and needs to learn how to use their power coming out of the upcoming speaker of the House race.

In an interview with Real America’s Voice’s John Solomon and Rebecca Weber, Solomon asked Trump, "When you look out, sir, at the party, how would you want them to come out of this two-week moment and what advice do you give them to get ready for the 2024 race?"

"I think two words - strong and united. We need stronger people," Trump said.

"We have such power and they don’t use it, but the Democrats use their power and they use it very horribly. Like the weaponization and things that nobody’s ever seen outside of a banana republic," Trump added.

"But we need power. We need strength. And we also have to have more unity. The one thing you see with them is they’re always voting… they voted to impeach me with a unanimous vote and half of them said that this is ridiculous on a phone call that turned out to be perfect, by the way. You, now, your reporter said Trump turned out to be absolutely right on that phone call and I got impeached over it," Trump continued.

"I think they need strength and they need unity," Trump said.

Also during the interview, Trump fired back at failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton who claimed his supporters are cult members in need of deprogramming.

“Hillary Clinton… she said the other day, ‘cult.’ She’ll say anything that comes to her mind because she still hasn’t recovered," Trump said.

“But she was talking all of the things that are going on and during the debates, she would say, ‘He would cause us war. He’s going to get us into a war.’ No,” Trump added.

“She was talking about my personality. ‘His personality… look at him. His personality is going to get us into war.’ I said, ‘No, my personality is going to keep us out of war.’ That’s what happened,” Trump continued.

“My personality kept us out of war. My personality made great trade deals with other countries that would never even make them,” Trump said.

In an interview with CNN that aired on Tuesday, Clinton said, “Sadly, so many of those extremists … take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure.”

“He’s only in it for himself. He’s now defending himself in civil actions and criminal actions. And when do they break with him? Because at some point maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members. But something needs to happen,” she added.

Clinton went on to admit that Trump will be the Republican nominee, saying, “I think, sadly, he will be the nominee and we have to defeat them. And we have to defeat those who are the election deniers, as we did and 2020 and [in the midterms of] 2022. And we have to just be smarter about how we are trying to empower the right people inside the Republican party.”

"[Trump is] an authoritarian populist who really has a grip on the emotional [and] psychological needs and desires of a portion of the population and the base of the Republican party, for whatever combination of reasons," she added.
