On Saturday, leading Republican presidential contender and 45th President Donald J. Trump told the Florida Freedom Summit that he would take steps to reimplement the travel ban he instituted early on in his administration, with the goal of protecting the interests of America and her people.
"On day one, I will restore the Trump travel ban on entering from having people that like to blow up our shopping centers and kill our people and do lots of bad things. Entry from terror-plagued countries -- we will not allow people to come in, and we will implement strong ideological screenings for all immigrants. We did that, and it was unbelievably successful," Trump said. "It was done at the Supreme Court, they approved it, and a lot of people were a little surprised, and here again, we had no problem. I did not talk about it, but I talked about it as soon as I left. I talked about it."
Donald Trump continued, adding, "It was an amazing thing we did. We were having a lot of problems, like World Trade Center, like a lot of other problems. And we had no problem during that four-year period because they knew they could not mess around. We had it tight."
Trump concluded by saying, "If you hate America, if you want to abolish Israel, if you sympathize with Jihadists and then you do not want your country to do well, you do not want your country to be successful, you are just not going to get in, you are not getting in, you are not coming into our country."
Trump kept us safe during his four years in office, and travel bans are an effective way of preserving our autonomy and our security. While Trump is putting America and her interests first -- as he so often does -- Biden is putting America last, in favor of a radical, globalist agenda. Trump knows and appreciates the value of a nation. Biden is effectively tearing our nation apart in favor of something far different than America as established. America can and should be able to protect its citizens by protecting the nation's sovereignty -- especially in who is let into the country.
