WATCH: Tucker Carlson Sets The Record Straight On Why The Elites Hate Trump And The People Love Him - 'He Is Not Entirely Controlled'

During a Sunday speech in Utica, Michigan, Tucker Carlson, host of 'Tucker on X,' explained why free speech matters so much -- and why the left wants to limit the free speech of leading Republican presidential contender and 45th President Donald J. Trump.

"They are trying to control what you say because they know if you say it, nothing will ever be the same," Tucker remarked. "And this is exactly why they hate Trump. But the whole time, when I am watching Trump, I am thinking to myself the core question, which no one ever asks, 'Why do they hate him so much?' Honestly, why do they hate Trump so much? It's the talking! It's the talking."

Tucker then discussed the reasonableness of Donald Trump's agenda, saying, "It is not because Trump's program is so radical. Are you joking? If this were 1985, he would be like a center-left liberal. It is not radical at all! That's fascism? Are you joking? No, it has nothing to do with what he does. It has everything to do with the fact that, for whatever reason, his brain is not entirely controlled by the people in charge. And because he is not entirely controlled, well, first of all, it tells you everyone is entirely controlled."

"It is like, Trump is the one they hate the most. Like, what did Trump do wrong? You can say, 'Oh, well, he is orange.' Ok, well, fine," Tucker added. "But has he really committed a crime so severe that we should send him to prison for the rest of his life? That is insane. And half the Republicans in Washington -- probably closer to about 95 percent -- would be very psyched if he went to prison for the rest of his life... they hate Trump because they fear Trump, and they hate Trump, not because of what he might do, but of because of what he might say."

Tucker Carlson is exactly right. Trump is so dangerous to the current administration because he uses his free speech to question the actions of the current regime, and indeed, the actions of establishmentarians of all stripes. Trump is a powerful defender of the people -- and that threatens the status quo. Fortunately, the American people are seeing through establishmentarian politics and are embracing a new vision of American greatness, the greatness we need to lead us through the next decade and beyond.
