While former President Donald Trump and his campaign associates make hasty preparations to rush the 45th president, his personal team, and security detail to East Palestine, Ohio to meet with residents and community leaders, President Joe Biden stepped comfortably onto Air Force One. Officially Biden was bound for Warsaw, Poland, Monday. But unbeknownst to the American people he was instead en route to Kyiv in war-torn Ukraine.
Why was Biden flying halfway around the world into an active warzone? Was he escorting (yet another) shipment of American hardware and ordinance our military can scarcely afford to lose? Did his coming herald a bold new peace initiative to bring Russia back to the negotiating table?
Nope. It was a photo op.
Today, President Biden is in Kyiv to reaffirm America’s unwavering commitment to Ukraine’s democracy, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

In colloquial terms, it was a “flex.” As Biden is seen walking casually with President Volodimir Zelensky whilst air-raid sirens sound in the Ukrainian capital.
Joe Biden visited Ukraine before the war zone of East Palestine, Ohio just and hour from DC.
You will never seen a more intentionally insulting move by a US President.
This cannot be understated.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) tweeted her incredulous response to the tone-deaf trip.
“Biden didn’t go to East Palestine, Ohio on President’s Day. He went to Ukraine, a NON-NATO nation, whose leader is an actor and is apparently now commanding our United States military to world war. We must impeach this America Last fool before it’s too late.”
The unannounced detour comes just a day after Biden stirred massive controversy by publicly vowing that the American people would be paying billions more in taxpayer funds to “allow pensions and social support to be paid to the Ukrainian people so they have something, something in their pocket.”
Donald Trump, Jr. voiced the disgust and disbelief of millions of Americans when he wrote, “Americans are struggling at home and Joe Biden is thinking about making sure we cover Ukrainian citizen’s pensions. You literally can’t make this shit up.”

This move of course is happening while Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen takes “extraordinary measures,” to keep the U.S. solvent. In late January Yellen warned that a failure to resolve the budget crisis in Congress could precipitate a “global financial crisis.”
According to CNN she warned,
“If that happened, our borrowing costs would increase and every American would see that their borrowing costs would increase as well,” Yellen said. “On top of that, a failure to make payments that are due, whether it’s the bondholders or to Social Security recipients or to our military, would undoubtedly cause a recession in the US economy and could cause a global financial crisis.”
But while former President Trump journeys to Ohio, a decision that many suspect pushed the Federal Emergency Management Agency to reverse its denial of aid to the state, Biden is throwing another few billion on the fire.
Within an hour of the news breaking about Trump’s trip on Friday, FEMA announced the reversal thus painting a correlation that many find hard to ignore. The appearance that President Biden would rather spend his days in Ukraine than in the American heartland likely sends a bad message to the swing voters in the Rust Belt who got him elected in the first place.
