White House Gives RIDICULOUS Excuse For Elderly Biden's Absence From 9/11 Ceremony

On the 22nd anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, staffers for President Joe Biden, according to Fox News' Peter Doocy, gave a lousy excuse for the president's absence from the 9/11 ceremony in New York City.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Biden will be commemorating the attacks far from Ground Zero in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., or the field in Pennsylvania that saw the downing of United Flight 93. Instead, Biden will commemorate the 9/11 attacks in Alaska as Vice President Kamala Harris is sent instead to lower Manhattan.

When Biden's staff were pressed on the issue as to why he wasn't going to visit the 9/11 attack sites, Doocy was reportedly told, "The analogy that I was given is that 22 years after Pearl Harbor, U.S. Presidents were not still going to visit Hawaii."

As reported by The New York Post, President Biden, after spending the weekend in New Dehli, India for the G20 meeting and later in Hanoi, Vietnam, will be speaking to service members and first responders at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

While Biden will commemorate the anniversary in Alaska, Kamala Harris flew to New York City to head to Ground Zero. She joined Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), New York City Mayor Eric Adams, and former Big Apple Mayor Michael Bloomberg for a ceremony at 9/11 Memorial and Museum.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani also appeared at Ground Zero and shared his memory of the attacks on various podcasts and via a statement.

“Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s leadership on September 11th, 2001, saved lives and comforted the entire nation,” his statement read. “He reassured an anxious country and helped us find our way through unimaginable tragedy. Mayor Giuliani is focused on remembering those we lost, and honoring the courageous heroes who sacrifice their lives so that others may live.”

White House staff also put out a memorial installation on the north side of the White House, however, no ceremony was held. Presidents Bush, Obama, and Trump all held ceremonies either at one of the 9/11 attack sites or at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue during their tenures, per The Post.

President Trump issued a video statement on his Truth Social to commemorate the attacks. His message can be viewed below:

President Biden's failure to show up to at least one of the 9/11 attack sites is disrespectful in and of itself, but the fact that his staff attempted to justify his absence by saying that it was a long time ago and thus it doesn't warrant a presidential visit further shows his lack of empathy for the families of 9/11 victims.
