ABC’s ‘The View’ is known for many things — few of them good. The hosts of the show have consistently warred against Conservatism, fighting President Trump and the side of truth more times than we can count. The show is currently looking for a Conservative host, and it is hard to see how they will obtain one. Conservative Co-hosts have noted the hostile work environment caused by the liberal majority — with Joy Behar being noteworthy for her exceptionally bad behaviors. Resultantly, the View is in a state of turmoil at the moment, and their recent behaviors could be reasonably read as evidence of that internal tension.
As we reported last week, liberal host Joy Behar went on a racist and sexist diatribe — attacking Patriotic Judges Amy Coney Barrett and Clarence Thomas. This was uncalled for. She also got no pushback from the panel, who accepted her rant as Gospel truth. This is no fair and balanced program. The program’s rhetoric is pure red meat for the liberal base who digests their show on a daily basis. One would expect a distinct emphasis on anti-racism from a program that prides itself in its enlightened liberal values. Nevertheless, as we have seen, such expectations are not in fact reality. The show is surprisingly bad on this front. A week after insinuating Clarence Thomas was a race traitor for defending Conservative values, host Whoopi Goldberg volunteered some juicy information that will make your head spin; according to her, the holocaust was not about race! Here is a transcript:
“The Holocaust is not about race — no, it is not about race!” Whoopi asserted. Then after getting some pushback from her co-hosts, Whoopi was forced to clarify “no, it is not about race, it is about man’s inhumanity to man — that’s what it’s about!” After the co-hosts pointed out the clear white supremacist language of Hitler’s project, how Hitler and the Nazi’s did not see the Jews as part of the master race, Whoopi surprisingly doubled down on her talking point:
“You are missing the point… the minute you turn it into race it goes down this alley. Let’s talk about it for what it is — it is about how people treat each other. It is a problem! It does not matter if you are black, white, jew… it is everybody!”
When you turn on ‘The View’ expect disappointment. This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the program’s bad takes.
