YOU’RE FIRED: Team Trump Cleans House At RNC Of Bureaucrats, Over 60 RNC Staffers Fired

On Monday, 45th President Donald Trump's new leadership team at the Republican National Committee (RNC) began cleaning house of staff not aligned with their new, improved vision. Over 60 RNC staffers, including five senior staff members, are expected to be fired. The RNC's new chief operating officer, Sean Cairncross, wrote in a letter, "During this process, certain staff are being asked to resign and reapply for a position on the team."

The RNC's new leadership is looking to cut "bureaucracy" and merge the RNC with the Trump campaign, according to a report. This comes after Trump senior campaign adviser Chris LaCivita was named as the new RNC chief of staff, former North Carolina GOP Chairman Michael Whatley was elected as the new RNC chair, and Trump's daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, was elected as co-chair on Friday. Ronna McDaniel stepped down as RNC chairwoman last week after serving for over seven years. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) reacted to the news, writing, "MAGA is now in control of the Republican Party!! We will continue to need everyone's help all the way across the finish line! Do not grow weary. Dig deeper."

"The RNC is going to be the vanguard of a movement that will work tirelessly every single day to elect our nominee, Donald J. Trump, as the 47th president of the United States," Whatley told RNC members in a speech on March 8. "The RNC MUST be a good partner in the Presidential election. It must do the work we expect from the National Party and do it flawlessly. That means helping to ensure fair and transparent elections across the country, getting out the vote everywhere — even in parts of the country where it won't be easy — and working with my campaign, as the Republican presumptive nominee for President, to win this election and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN," Trump wrote in an endorsement post for Lara Trump.

As the DC Enquirer previously reported, Ronna McDaniel officially announced her resignation on Monday, saying, "It has been the honor and privilege of my life to serve the Republican National Committee for seven years as Chairwoman to elect Republicans and grow our Party ... I have decided to step aside at our Spring Training on March 8 in Houston to allow our nominee to select a Chair of their choosing. The RNC has historically undergone change once we have a nominee, and it has always been my intention to honor that tradition."
