Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) released a video on Tuesday outlining the consequences of President Joe Biden’s inaction regarding the ongoing immigration crisis currently raging at the southern border.
“President Biden doesn’t want Americans to know that he has been ignoring the narco slave trade taking place along our southern border,” The Texas Republican tweeted.
“These children come in [the country] in debt to vicious cartels. Thousands and thousands of dollars and the teenage boys work for the gangs in every city in America and the teenage girls experience a hell worse than that with far too many of them human trafficked into sex slavery,” the GOP Senator explained.
The video showed graphic images of dead migrants in the desert and children who have drowned, while attempting to cross the Rio Grande.
“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are responsible for the worst plague of slavery in America since the Civil War,” Cruz argued.

The video concluded with the following: “Abolish the narco slave trade.”
Cruz held a press conference earlier this week where he showcased colored wristbands used to identify illegal immigrants, including children — who owe thousands of dollars to cartels that smuggle them across the border. Cruz said the indebted migrants were, “the incidents of human slavery.”
Just last month, 53 dead migrants who were trafficked by the cartels were found in San Antonio locked away in a semi-truck trailer, making it the deadliest human smuggling incident in American history, Vice reported.
Cruz’s message comes as media outlets like the New York Times and local political leaders who have traditionally ignored this crisis — much like NYC Mayor Eric Adams and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, who recently requested assistance to deal with these problems — finally wake up to the reality that this cannot continue unchecked.
Biden has failed to protect the United States from dangerous cartels and the trafficking of children by the thousands. While the Democrats may think their policies are beneficial to those seeking a better life in the freest country in the world, Cruz has only one message for them.
“This is not compassionate. This is not humane. This is barbaric,” the lawmaker concluded.
