BREAKING: Katie Hobbs Staffer Who Called for Violence Against ‘Transphobes’ Will Face Consequences

On Wednesday, Josselyn Berry, the press secretary for Governor Katie Hobbs (D-AZ), resigned from her post after sending a heinous tweet calling for violence following the mass shooting at Covenant Elementary School in Nashville, Tennessee, leading to many calling for her resignation.

“[Governor Hobbs]’ office has confirmed that press secretary ⁦[Josselyn Berry]⁩ has resigned this morning after posting this image on Twitter,” wrote CBS5 Political Editor Dennis Welch. “Expect a full statement shortly.”

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Berry posted a GIF to Twitter advocating for violence against “transphobes” within a matter of hours after three 9-year-old children and three staff members were brutally murdered by a transgender ex-student in a “targeted” attack on a Nashville Christian School.

The tweet, a GIF animation depicting actress Gena Rowlands in the 1980 film “Gloria,” according to The Washington Times, shows the actress advancing menacingly dual wielding two revolvers with the shocking caption: “Us when we see transphobes.”

In context, Berry prefaced this with another tweet stating, “If you work in the progressive community and are transphobic, you’re not progressive. Period. End of story. It’s not hard to understand but you’re bigotry masquerading as feminism absolutely is.”

In response to these tweets, many called for her to be ousted from her post which has come to fruition.

How can even you say this? Especially after the atrocity that just occurred in Nashville,” wrote Riley Gaines, adding, “fire her immediately.”

“This is what [Katie Hobbs] press secretary decided to tweet after a trans militant shut up a school,” wrote Daily Wire host Matt Walsh. “Any Republican would be fired for this in an instant. We’re done with the double standard. [Josselyn Berry] must be fired.”

“Less than 12 hours after the tragic shooting in Nashville by a deranged transgender activist [Katie Hobbs]’ Press Secretary calls for shooting people Democrats disagree with,” wrote the Arizona Freedom Caucus. “Calling for violence like this is un-American & never acceptable. [Josselyn Berry] should be fired immediately.”

It seems like Berry has faced the consequences for her outrageous comments after a tragedy that took the lives of six innocent lives.
