Democrat Katie Hobbs’ Spokeswoman Tweets For Violence Against ‘Transphobes’ Hours After Nashville Covenant School Shooting

Josselyn Berry, spokeswoman for Arizona’s Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs posted a GIF to Twitter advocating for violence against “transphobes” within a matter of hours after three 9-year-old children and three staff members were brutally murdered by a transgender ex-student in a “targeted” attack on a Nashville Christian School.

The tweet, a GIF animation depicting actress Gena Rowlands in the 1980 film “Gloria,” according to The Washington Times, shows the actress advancing menacingly dual wielding two revolvers with the shocking caption: “Us when we see transphobes.”

In context, Berry prefaced this with another tweet stating, “If you work in the progressive community and are transphobic, you’re not progressive. Period. End of story. It’s not hard to understand but you’re bigotry masquerading as feminism absolutely is.”

Both tweets were sent well over 12 hours after news of the massacre was broadcast nationwide across dozens of networks and websites. The Arizona Freedom Caucus posted a screenshot of the tweet with the caption, “Less than 12 hours after the tragic shooting in Nashville by a deranged transgender activist @katiehobbs’ Press Secretary calls for shooting people Democrats disagree with. Calling for violence like this is un-American & never acceptable. @joss_berry should be fired immediately.”

As of this report, Berry has not yet deleted the original tweet which has over 2 million views.

Kari Lake, Hobb’s Republican gubernatorial opponent tweeted. “If a conservative made light of a mass shooting & called for more violence, they’d be personally & professionally destroyed. But a member of Katie Hobbs’ staff did just that & the media is silent. We don’t partake in cancel culture – but the media’s bias has never been clearer.”

Lake’s social media team at the Kari Lake War Room condemned the tweet in the harshest terms, “Josselyn Berry, the woman running @katiehobbs‘s comms, sent this threat out following the murder (hate crime) of six innocent Christians by a trans activist This message is reprehensible & deserves bipartisan condemnation”

Neither Hobbs nor Berry has made a public statement regarding the spokeswoman’s tweet as of this report. However, Hobbs did tweet twice regarding the shooting at the Christian school. First, from her personal account she wrote, “My family and I are sending all our love to the families affected by the tragic news out of Nashville. I know parents all over the country are hugging their kids a little tighter tonight.”

This was followed shortly after by a far more politicized post from her official account. “As flags across our state and our country are lowered for the six victims of school gun violence in Nashville, we mourn their loss, along with all others killed by gun violence. Our schools should be safe places for students and teachers, this could have and should have been prevented,” she wrote.
