GOP Calls For Antony Blinken’s Resignation, Two High Ranking Republicans Suggest Impeaching The Biden Official After Shocking Revelations

Recent damning revelations have surfaced regarding former CIA official Michale Morell’s coordination with the Biden 2020 campaign’s coordination of the infamous October 2020 letter signed by 51 former national security officials that pronounced that the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation. The man who spearheaded that coordination, which may have violated federal election law, was the current Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The outing of this information has led to a chorus of voices within the Republican party demanding that Mr. Blinken resign. Some even go further and state that impeachment may be on the table for Blinken.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) is one of those who are demanding that Mr. Blinken go. He tweeted upon the breaking of this damning news that “So Tony Blinken, Secretary of State, orchestrated the letter falsely calling the Hunter Biden laptop Russian disinfo. This guy should not still have a job.”

Two Republicans joined in that sentiment but added threats of impeachment in the event that the Secretary of State does not step down. Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ), a member of the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees, said in an interview with Just the News that “This, in my opinion, probably disqualifies him to serve as the Secretary of State. And I know people keep saying, ‘Andy, you want to impeach everybody?’ Well, you know, Tony Blinken probably should be impeached, just like [Homeland Secretary Alejandro] Mayorkas should be impeached.”

Mr. Biggs commented on how “our allies…don’t trust us at all. And why would they? They think we’re weak, untrustworthy. How in the world can he remain our spokesperson to the world? … I just don’t see how he can, and he should go. I think he’s irreparably harmed the United States.”

Mr. Biggs doubled down on his call for Blinken to resign by saying that “Yeah, in fact, I’ll break it on your show. Tony Blinken, you should resign.”

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) also mentioned impeachment as a remedy if Blinken does not voluntarily step down should the former CIA officer’s testimony be proven true. Johnson warned that “And if he doesn’t resign, he should be impeached. Again, so many members of the Biden administration have this level of deceit, dishonesty, and corruption. This is a lawless administration.”

Senator Johnson tweeted that this act by Blinken was “[j]ust one more example of those who accused others of “spreading Russian disinformation” were, in fact, the ones spreading disinformation and lies. Will Americans realize we’ve been repeatedly lied to and start seeking the truth?”

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) also mentioned how “AG Merrick Garland and Secretary of State Tony Blinken believe that their jobs are to be political operatives. They prioritize the political interests of the Biden-Harris White House, not the truth!” on Twitter.

In the episode of Verdict where this is discussed, Senator Cruz thought that Garland was more likely to face legal exposure than Blinken. Blinken had, in Cruz’s words, done things that were “unseemly, it is embarrassing, it is indicative of him being a political hack…but there is nothing in that that is allegedly illegal.”

Democrats have come to the defense of Mr. Blinken by asserting that Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) released select portions of the transcript of Mike Morell’s testimony. The Democrats, according to Just the News, released their own select portion of the transcript where Mr. Morell comments that “My memory is that he did not, right. My memory is that he asked what I thought” when asked if he specifically recalled if Mr. Blinken directed him to write that letter.

Still, the State Department refused on Friday to comment on the matter.
