In Major Move, Pastor Greg Laurie Announces 'Jesus Revolution' Is Coming To Major Streaming Platform After Box Office Success

On Tuesday, Pastor Greg Laurie announced that the Christian film Jesus Revolution will be coming to streaming giant 'Netflix' on July 31st.

"BIG NEWS! @JesusRevMovie coming to @netflix July 31st, 2023! A whole new audience is going to see this film now. Let’s all be praying that God uses it to touch lives," Laurie tweeted.

As Christian Headlines previously reported, "Jesus Revolution, a film centered around the Jesus Movement in the 1970s, was released in theaters on February 24. On its opening weekend, the movie received an A+ from CinemaScore and earned more than $15.8 million. The film also grossed over $52 million domestically and received an additional $312,000 internationally, ChurchLeaders.com reports."

Laurie, who is featured in the movie (which, in part, details his conversion experience), continued promoting the film on Twitter, saying, "More exciting news on the @JesusRevMovie front. This film is touching lives all around the world! Right now, it’s playing in the UK and it’s a box office hit. Now, its’s being dubbed in Spanish and will be opening in theatres in Mexico and Brazil on July 27. @JesusRevMovie is also coming to @netflix on July 31st. Let’s be praying God uses this film to bring hope to many."

This announcement comes after several faith-based films have dominated the box office, as Americans and people worldwide have rejected the horrendous output of woke Hollywood. As the DC Enquirer previously reported, the number one movie on July 4th had significant faith themes therein -- Angel Studio's Sound of Freedom. Indeed, Laurie himself promoted the film, tweeting, "This powerful film opens TODAY! Go see it!"
All in all, the success of Christian films shows us our country is grasping for something transcendent. None of the counterfeit replacements- big government, wokeism, or anything else- are good. All humans need God and the grace that He alone can provide in His Son, Jesus Christ, Our Lord, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
