WATCH: Trump Lawyer Alina Habba Says There Is No Way To Get A Fair Trial In NYC - 'It's Not About Law And Order'

During a Tuesday appearance on Newsmax's Eric Bolling: The Balance, Trump Lawyer Alina Habba told the outlet that it is impossible to get a fair trial for the presumptive Republican nominee in deep-blue New York City, as the 45th president defends himself in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's (D) sham hush-money case against him. "I think it is impossible, quite honestly. We're in a blue state; that's all by design," Habba explained to host Eric Bolling.

"Do not get it twisted, folks; they do this intentionally, just like they are bringing the one in Washington, just like Georgia. They pick these states on purpose. They chose DAs and AGs who all have one thing in common -- Soros-backing and people like them. They are on a political mission," Habba added. And what is this mission? Election interference, plain and simple.

As such, Habba continued her remarks, adding, "This really isn't about the law. It's not about law and order. It's not about the Constitution. It's about the demise of the same, and we are watching it happen before our eyes. If there was any question with the civil cases that I went through, now it is clear. You know, the fact that this 8-year-old, way past statute-of-limitations case is being heard in New York is pathetic, it is obvious, and it has to stop."

The novel character of bringing a case to trial past the statute of limitations is not lost on legal scholars. As DC Enquirer previously reported, Constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz told the National Desk in March of last year, "This is targeting and weaponizing not the American way of justice. A very sad day for justice. Look, we haven't seen the indictment. We can't be sure; maybe they have a videotape of him shooting somebody on Fifth Avenue. But based on what we know about this case, it may be one of the weakest cases in my six years of experience."

Fortunately for the rule of law in America, Trump remains a potent force to win the presidency in 2024. The Real Clear Politics polling average has him besting Joe Biden in nationwide polling in recent months, despite the fact that Republican presidential candidates can generally afford to underperform in the popular vote while still winning the election - as they did in 2000 and 2016.

The potential for Republicans in 2024 is limitless if they effectively communicate their agenda and critique the Biden administration's 'America Last' policies. The future of our nation may very well depend on it. This means uniting around an agenda that resonates with Americans, one that champions life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all.
