WATCH: Donald Trump Jr. Defends Jason Aldean's New Song In EPIC Moment, Says It Is '100 Percent Accurate'

During a recent broadcast of SiriusXM's 'The Megyn Kelly Show,' Donald Trump Jr., son of 45th President and leading Republican presidential contender Donald J. Trump, told viewers that the attacks on country music icon Jason Aldean's new song 'Try That In A Small Town' were genuinely unjustified.

"I think it's insane. It's what we're seeing time and time again, just capitulation to the radical left," Donald Trump Jr. told host Megyn Kelly, as previously reported by Newsmax. "I mean, that song is 100% accurate — it's against the BLM/Antifa riots. It's 100% true that that would happen in a small town if you messed around with that. I wish the rest of America functioned that way. And Jason is a friend of mine."

"It's shocking that even Country Music Television can seemingly just disavow literally their entire audience to kowtow to Hollywood, and we've just seen too much of that. I think his lyrics are wholesome," Trump Jr. continued.

As the DC Enquirer previously reported, the song is about, "how things that take place in large cities would not be able to work in a small town."

These criticisms prompted Aldean to take to Twitter, writing, "In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. These references are not only meritless, but dangerous."

Aldean continued, adding, "Try That In A Small Town, for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief. Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences."

"My political views have never been something I’ve hidden from, and I know that a lot of us in this Country don’t agree on how we get back to a sense of normalcy where we go at least a day without a headline that keeps us up at night. But the desire for it to- that’s what this song is about," Aldean concluded.
