Top Democrats Scramble, Make OUTLANDISH Claims About Tucker Carlson After January 6th Footage Release

Last week, Fox News host Tucker Carlson was given “unfettered access” to over 41,000 hours of footage from the events of January 6th, 2021 by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). In response to this, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jefferies (D-NY) sent letters to Speaker McCarthy blasting him for the decision and making ridiculous claims about Carlson.

The first letter, written by Rep. Hakeem Jefferies on Tuesday, made the absurd claim that Tucker “regularly peddles in conspiracy theories and Pro-Putin rhetoric” and emphasized that the release of the footage is a grave threat to the American people.

“I write with respect to public reports that extreme MAGA Republicans in the House have provided tens of thousands of hours of sensitive Capitol security footage to a FOX News personality who regularly peddles in conspiracy theories and Pro-Putin rhetoric,” Jefferies wrote to his colleagues.

“At present, we are working to confirm the precise nature of the video transfer, particularly as it relates to the events connected to the violent insurrection on January 6, 2021,” he continued. “The apparent transfer of video footage represents an egregious security breach that endangers the hardworking women and men of the United States Capitol Police, who valiantly defended our democracy with their lives at risk on that fateful day.”

Jefferies then stated that the January 6th Committee Chair will be giving his thoughts on the matter and that the Democrats would regularly work with Capitol Police to ensure what was released to the public didn’t pose a security threat.

“Over the past two years, the bipartisan Members of the January 6th Committee were able to diligently review the security footage in question, with numerous protocols in place to protect the safety of the Members, police officers, and staff who were targeted during the violent insurrection,” the letter continued. “There is no indication that these same precautionary measures have been taken in connection with the transmission of the video footage at issue.”

BREAKING: TUCKER CARLSON GAINS ACCESS TO OVER 40,000 HOURS OF JANUARY 6TH FOOTAGE, WHAT QUESTIONS WILL FINALLY BE ANSWERED?

“Unfortunately, the apparent disclosure of sensitive video material is yet another example of the grave threat to the security of the American people represented by the extreme MAGA Republican majority,” he claimed. “Together, we will continue to defend our democracy and the well-being of the law enforcement community that protects the Capitol.”

Following up Jefferies’ letter was Sen. Chuck Schumer blasted McCarthy on Wednesday in a letter of his own arguing that it was a “grave mistake.”

“The speaker is needlessly exposing the Capitol complex to one of the worst security risks since 9/11,” Schumer alleged in his letter. “By handpicking Tucker Carlson, Speaker McCarthy laid bare that this sham is simply about pandering to MAGA election deniers, not the truth. Tucker Carlson has no fidelity to the truth or facts and has used his platform to promote the Big Lie, distort reality, and espouse bogus conspiracy theories about January 6. If the past is any indication, Tucker Carlson will select only clips that he can use to twist the facts to sow doubt of what happened on January 6 and feed into the propaganda he’s already put on Fox News’ air.”

“Giving someone as disingenuous as Tucker Carlson exclusive access to this type of sensitive information is a grave mistake by Speaker McCarthy that will only embolden supporters of the Big Lie and weaken faith in our democracy,” Schumer wrote. “Let me be clear, the Senate strongly objects to the release of this sensitive security footage to Tucker Carlson and Fox News. The speaker — nor any elected official — does not have the right to jeopardize the safety of senators nor Senate and Capitol staff for their own political purposes. Period.”

While the top Democrats’ claims are as absurd as they are unfounded, Carlson has already stated that, within the footage reviewed by his producers, he has already found instances that contradict the narrative created by the January 6th Committee last year.

Both the Democrats and the media are terrified that the story they have crafted over the past two years about the Capitol Riot will come undone. Tucker will provide much-needed clarity into the events of that day, after all, light is the best disinfectant.
