CNN Sees Ratings Collapse, Set to Have Lowest Ratings in Key Demographic Since Before Trump Was In Office

CNN, which has struggled to keep its ratings from their height during the Trump presidency, has seen an utter collapse in its viewers in recent months with February on track to be one of the lowest ratings for the key demographic of 25-54 since June 2014.

Four of CNN’s biggest shows, “Anderson Cooper 360,” “The Lead with Jake Tapper” and Wolf Blitzer’s “Situation Room,” are set to receive their lowest ratings since the Obama presidency, and “Inside Politics” is even worse. That CNN show, hosted by John King, is set to have its worst ratings since August 2005, as reported by Fox News.

Anderson Cooper, for the month of February, only averaged 137,000 viewers in the key demographic, a 38 percent drop in ratings year-over-year.

“The Situation Room” and “The Lead with Jake Tapper” are also set to have a nearly 40 percent drop in their viewers as well as audiences are turning off CNN and heading to other networks.

Meanwhile, the Don Lemon co-hosted morning show “CNN This Morning” is set to have its lowest ratings since it launched earlier this year most likely due to a scandal that enveloped the show due to Lemon’s sexism, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer.

NBA LEGEND CHARLES BARKLEY MIGHT TAKE CNN JOB TO HELP ‘SH*T SHOW’ NEWS NETWORK

Don Lemon humiliated himself on national television after claiming last week that 51-year-old Nikki Haley wasn’t in her prime.

“This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable. I think it’s the wrong road to go down,” Don Lemon argued. “She says people, you know, politicians are something if not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime, sorry. A woman is considered to be in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s. That’s not according to me.”

When pressed on the matter by his fellow co-host Poppy Harlow, Lemon attempted to justify his argument by appealing to Google’s authority.

“It depends, just like prime, if you look it up. If you Google it, when is a woman in her prime, it’ll say 20s, 30s, and 40s,” Lemon continued. “I’m not saying I agree with that. I think she has to be careful about saying that, you know, politicians are in their prime.”

As CNN continues to live with the reputation of being a far-left activist network that went after President Trump during his presidency, their ratings continue to suffer without him in the limelight. Lemon’s scandal likely doesn’t help the network’s image and it is clear that if CEO Chris Licht fails to change the network’s course, it may cease to exist.
