WATCH: DeSantis BLASTS Protestors At Event – 'We Don't Want You Indoctrinating Our Children, Leave Our Kids Alone!'

On Monday, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) shot back at left-wing activists that appeared at an event in South Carolina to protest the Republican candidate speaking, telling the protestors that “We don’t want you indoctrinating our children, leave our kids alone.”

The Sunshine State governor was speaking before a crowd in the Philip T. Glennon Community Center in Tega Cay, South Carolina where the exchange took place. He was talking about President Joe Biden being unwilling to accept his granddaughter that Hunter Biden had with an adult entertainer in Arkansas before he was interrupted by the protestors.

The LGBTQ activists began shouting at DeSantis while they unfurled a pride flag. Though the intent of the protestors was undoubtedly to get a reaction out of him, he initially responded by giving no response as security quickly began to escort the protestors out of the building. Once the individual was apprehended by security, the crowd began to cheer which then prompted DeSantis to give his response.

“And they shouldn’t be worried about our children, either!” he said, pointing to the activists being escorted out of the building. “We don’t want you indoctrinating our children, leave our kids alone!”

The protestors being removed wasn't the only good moment for DeSantis at his event in South Carolina, with a self-described “hardcore Trump supporter” talking about the positive effect that the event had on her.

“My love for President Trump comes from all the despair, all the things that he’s been through has served as our president of the United States. And he did a good job,” she said. “But all the things, I’m thinking more with my heart, and my sorrow and my love for him, and for this country.”

“But now I have, this is the most important vote that we’re gonna have,” the woman continued. “And I have to think more with my mind and what’s best for this country, and you did an excellent job and I certainly appreciate it.”

“God bless you,” DeSantis responded. “Thank you. I appreciate that and I agree with you, I appreciate what President Trump did, how they treated him with things like Russian collusion, was a disgrace. And he was treated wrong. He was treated in ways that were unconstitutional.”

“But here’s the thing, the question for us now is what are we going to do about it?” he continued. “And we need to end the weaponization of government, I will get that done. It’s not about me, it’s about you. It’s about me standing up for you and standing up for this constitution and restoring this country to what the Founding Fathers envisioned. And we will get it done. We will be focused, we will be disciplined, and we will make it happen.”

The event undoubtedly turned out to be a massive success for DeSantis who has so far been struggling since his initial launch. Trump has continued to gain ground in polls against the Florida governor so any win for DeSantis could be essential to re-establishing himself as a premiere candidate.
